Introducing Bandsintown Manager, The Essential Mobile App For Touring Musicians

New Smartphone / Tablet App Suite Allows Touring Artists to Engage With Existing Music Fans and Reach New Concert-Goers

NEW YORK, NY—July 1, 2014 — Following the success of its popular Facebook application used by over 225,000 touring artists, Bandsintown introduced its first mobile application for artists and their managers called Bandsintown Manager. The app empowers artists on tour, music managers and digital marketers to stay on top of day-to-day tasks for working musicians including displaying and promoting upcoming tour dates to concert-goers, resulting in higher turnout to shows and more tickets sold.

Bandsintown Manager simplifies tour marketing by pushing event dates to Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, and artist websites, allowing artists to cover their entire social and web presence from the palm of their hand. The app also pushes tour data to Bandsintown, the largest concert discovery app in the world, as well as partners like Shazam, Nokia MixRadio, SoundHound, DeliRadio, Squarespace, and many more, helping musicians get their gigs discovered.

“Our goal has always been to connect artists and fans so they never miss a show” said Julien Mitelberg, Bandsintown CEO. “By introducing a mobile app built exclusively for artists, we enable both major and emerging acts to better promote their tours and for the first time to communicate directly with our 11 million registered users, so concert-goers get the most out of the live music experience – before, during and after the event.”

Bandsintown Manager offers a range of features for mobile and tablets that artists may be familiar with, and some that are available for the very first time:

Key features
• Create Facebook events for all upcoming shows and display them on a Tour Dates tab on a band’s Facebook Page for fans to RSVP, comment and share.
• Geo-targeted newsfeed posts that reach a band’s Facebook and Twitter fans throughout their entire tour, from presale to opening night.
• Touring managers can administer multiple artists from a single mobile dashboard.

New exclusive features
• Receive notifications to approve pending tour dates imported from a third party source.
• Key insights and statistics about fan Trackers to gauge tour success.
• Venue change? Cancel a tour date? Artists can directly message fans who have RSVP’d to their show with targeted push notifications.
• Aggregates all concert photos and videos of a show posted by fans on Bandsintown and Instagram, which artists can browse and repost on Facebook and Twitter to increase engagement.

In conjunction with the release of Bandsintown Manager, the company hosted an artist meetup in the New York City offices of Squarespace to demo the app and share best practices. Squarespace, the leading all-in-one website publishing platform for musicians, is the initial sponsor of the app.

Bandsintown Manager is now available as a free download in the iTunes App Store and on Google Play. For screen shots or to consult our FAQ, please visit our Help section located at
